Another 40/40 from Famitsu, this time, Metal Gear Solid 4
author=Tau link=topic=1261.msg18959#msg18959 date=1212627843author=Brandon the Able, Esquire link=topic=1261.msg18957#msg18957 date=1212627292Especially since review sites/magazines almost gave Metal Gear Solid 2 a perfect score when that game was absolute shit.
Oh give me a break you don't think an MGS game would probably get a perfect score?
But I liked MGS2 :(...
But yeah.. the point really is, these overhyped games always get high scores, or else face the wrath of fanboys and game developers. For instance, although 1Up criticized MGS3's CQC controls as being too complex, nobody bothered to mention these things anywhere else... just sillyness. But then, to be fair, 1Up criticized MGS4 for being too front-loaded with new material and way too cinematic in the end, with too little gameplay for an actual game.
(I'm still going to borrow someone's PS3 and play this game though, dammit!)
[EVERYONE READ] Posting, and the Main Site.
I wanted to post a joke about the Lurkers from SCII Brood War here, but I didn't really play that game beyond the campaign and can't remember anything relevant, and the joke probably would've sucked more than this substitute post.
(BUT YES I CONCUR)

To kill or not to kill..
Here and now: I say no. I could never take a life... But I can acknowledge that my morality would tend to waver when someone threatened to hurt me tremendously unless I did the same to someone else, even if they were innocent.
Also, I don't feel bad about killing bugs at all, and I don't really feel bad about animals dying unless it's needless or it causes psychological pain to pet owners.

Transformers 2
I liked the Tranformers movie. It succeeded in including dorky information that made me happy without being too dorky for other people I know to appreciate it. I liked the fact that I could go watch it with friends that were unfamiliar with Tranformers and they liked it despite the silly concept, while meanwhile I could enjoy all the little fan service moments.
I do think that Optimus Prime's flame decals were horrible though..!!!

Indiana Jones 4

I enjoyed the film, as a popcorn flick, but tried to take it all with a pinch of salt. I think the way to enjoy it is to approach it with the viewpoint of not trying to take it too seriously.
I agree entirely. It's a very exciting yet silly, stupid movie. I went to it and I enjoyed it very much, but I was deliberate in treating the movie less critically than other movies I see. I don't often go to popcorn flicks, but I knew that I'd be going to an excellent summer movie with Indy 4, and that's why I went.
Wow, guys. Impressive, everyone!
Yeah.
As the guy who visits every few months, I'd say that RMN has come a very long way. The community now is really something, and it's a great website.

Tell us about yourself!
I am going into my third year of pre-business and pre-law. I will probably be in school another 4-5 years getting the education I want, and then I'll go find some high-paying work, slowly pay off student loans, and buy a decent apartment in a small city or a large burg.
I prefer to play video games in long single stretches, then abandon them for weeks until I feel like playing a new game. I don't have as much time as I'd like to play video games over a year because I'm usually very busy.
I attend college in the state of Iowa. It's not a very exciting place, but you do get to see plenty of politicians every four years. I am also a member of a fraternity, although I consider myself unlike the stereotypical frat dude.
I used to be involved in a couple other gamemaking webpages before RMN. Since entering college, my visits are a lot more sporadic because I'm a lot more busy, but I still visit when I can. I used to write storywriting articles and wrote a couple stories for unfinished team projects. If I could find one of my old storylines, I'd still like to spend a couple months creating a short RPG on the old, antiquated RM2K, hehe.

Your dreams
My dreams aren't as exciting as everybody else's. I have dreams about ordinary things that go wrong, so that I wake up pretty panicked and stupid-feeling until I realize what reality is. Then I have dreams about people I know, and those aren't really important.
..
One time I had a dream where I was one of the Ninja Turtles, from that first level in the original arcade TMNT game (the one you can download on a 360), and I fought Shredder a bit and jumped out a window.
